Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2011 Certified Football (36 Must-See Images)

2011 Certified Football -- the perennial collector favorite that starts shipping Monday -- has received a steady dose of quality control triple-coverage this week as Panini America NFL brand managers Ben Ecklar, Carlos Torrez and Aik Tongtharadol have spent the last two days ensuring that everything is falling as it should.

2011 Certified Football — the perennial collector favorite that starts shipping Monday — has received a steady dose of quality control triple-coverage this week as Panini America NFL brand managers Ben Ecklar, Carlos Torrez and Aik Tongtharadol have spent the last two days ensuring that everything is falling as it should.

But judging from the hits I’ve seen (profiled below in all of their gallery glory), not even triple coverage can contain this beast. Make no mistake about it: 2011 Certified Football is going to score — and score big.

The product once again is steeped in stunning game-worn memorabilia from the NFL’s all-time legends, autographs from its top superstars and rookies and some of the most venerable and embraced inserts and parallels in the business. Enjoy your first extended look at the product now and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance next week for a special episode of Panini Unwrapped.

  1. The more I see of this, the happier I am I picked the Cowboys in a draft break. If I can stop buying all these HOF autos, I just might have to snag a few boxes.

  2. As a Panthers fan I have to say the Steve Smith/Cam Newton dual jersey card is one of the best cards this year. If there is a auto version of that card it is probably the best card I have ever seen! Tracy, is there a autographed version of that card? Thanks

  3. Well, it’s certainly a bright and color-splashed set! I love the inclusion of HOF players who are under-represented, such as Forest Gregg and Butkus. In turn, Eric Dickerskon gear…from his Raider years, is a nice touch.
While the set might be considered garishly colored by some, that’s pretty insignificant when compared to the trove of autos and game-used that await the consumer. This I’m excited for. Ummm, also.

  4. Looks great Tracy! Cant wait to bust some boxes with the girls! Hopefully we can pull one of those Cam Newtons but A RODG is #1 on my wish list! Keep on putting out the best cards out there!

  5. Wow, I cant wait! I have multiple boxes comming from Blowout cards. I have to wait an extra week but its worth it because my local card shop hikes up the price on new products to much. These look sweet and i have been waiting for the release. Hope i can pull my bengals Cards!

  6. What!!! No Giants in this Gallery!!! :). They look incredible. This is a must have product of the year. Fabric of the game I really like with the team name. Some really nice prime pieces used in this product and I LOVE the fact this is focused around rookies with Freshman fabric and such. This is the big reason why I had to come on early this morning so I could see the gallery.

  7. Set looks great. Just wish you would of done the rookie auto jersey’s like basketball this year. Loved the oversized swatch in the NBA rookie set.

  8. Did the 1/1 multi shield auto of Newton get pulled during quality control? Hopefully that didn’t happen unlike like last years Bradford 1/1 which no one mentioned for about 4 months..I do love this product though.

  9. Did this get pushed back a week? My distributor said nothing went out on Monday and he was told maybe Nov 21st ship date?

  10. Is there a checklist for this anywhere?? I collect Niners from these sets and I want to see who made the cut 😉

  11. I could do without the distracting splashes of color that are part of the “New Generation” auto subset…the shots if the players and cleanliness of the ‘graphs speak for themselves. That said, this is one of the hobby’s seminal products and this season’s release looks absolutely stunning.
Like so many collectors, I “Rookie speculate” and the fact that a dude like Phil Taylor is represented in the product is remarkable; DeMarcus Ware’s certified autos fetch hefty
sums, as an example of the value to the collector. Couple the inclusion of players sure to have few autos with multi-color patches and autos from HOF’ers and those “thisclose” to Canton? Great product with issues that are sure to be collection cornerstones.
