Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2011 Gridiron Gear Football (53 Must-See Images)

Here we are the day before Thanksgiving, up to our gobblers in 2011 Certified Football and 2011-12 Certified Hockey and this huge Panini America Black Friday promotion and NFL Brand Manager Carlos Torrez gives me just one more thing to be thankful for: A sleeve of sweet hits from the just-completed quality-control process for 2011 Gridiron Gear Football.

Here we are the day before Thanksgiving, up to our gobblers in 2011 Certified Football and 2011-12 Certified Hockey and this huge Panini America Black Friday promotion, and NFL Brand Manager Carlos Torrez gives me just one more thing to be thankful for: A sleeve of sweet hits from the just-completed quality-control process for 2011 Gridiron Gear Football.

Indeed, amid all the commotion and excitement of this full-throttle holiday season, I almost forgot that Gridiron Gear was just around the corner, due out everywhere one week from Monday. But after seeing the following highlights, I’ll likely never forget 2011 Gridiron Gear Football again.

Here’s  hoping you feel the same after feasting your eyes on this gallery, an eye-candy buffet highlighted by a field-plate Aaron Rodgers autograph, a few sweet NFL Pro Gridiron Signatures autographs with their trademark rubber helmets and a nice preview of the Rookie Gridiron Hidden Gems, still some of the most unique RCs ever made.

Enjoy.

  1. I HAVE to AGREE! AWESOME, SWEET, GREAT,FANTASTIC!!! My only problem living here is that there is NO LCS in my area! I would have to drive 65 MILES to get to the closet LCS! Anyone wanna loan me some dollars so I can open shop! Anyway PANINI Has gone WAY ABOVE the rest with this set! There will be a LOT of HAPPY people especially whoever pulls the Aaron Rodgers card with Green Bay being 10-0! GO GB!

    Hi Tracy!

  2. Tracy, you already know what im going to say dont you? Let test your ESP ability. Fill in the blanks. I h— to p— t-at Aa–n R—–s!!!!!!!!! You already know which card i want!!! Cant wait for Gridiron Gear!! Ive already busted 5 boxes of Certified Football and i lOVE it! I am trying to pull the “Hometown Heroes” Aaron Rodgers auto. I love that insert!!! Im about to bust another box here in about an hour. Wish me luck!

  3. Great Looking Stuff as usual!!! Can’t wait to bust some of these open, always one of my favorite products every year!!

  4. You guys did a great job with this. Thank you for moving the Field Autos from Epix. D-Mac is my supercollect guy and his field auto card was his first auto I ever pulled myself of him and I will never sell that. I have the whole Set from 2010. The veteran addition and checklist is amazing. I will be trying for this whole set again, although it will be much more expensive!!! My favorite autos out of any product by far. I also love that marcus allen team helmet. I pulled the Don Maynard last year, very cool cards.

Thanks for all the work keeping us updated with early sneak picks. Is there any chance we can get another video peek inside the production process? I hope you do another video like you did for 2010 NT, That was my favorite video on this blog.

  5. G/G is one of those really fun breaks, and Panini’s commitment to include more multi-color patches as opposed to the single-color dime a dozen swatches is absolutely welcome. Providing collectors with real value out of non-Auto’d memorabilia cards is critical. Few collectors are impressed by “4 hits/box” when 3 of the hits are 1/C swatches from bench-meat players. The number of multi-player, multi-color swatches is duly noted. The Rookie Gridiron Gems set is front and center, as such a novel & desirable auto/Jersey rc should be. However, I want to give a nod to the inclusion of cats like Leroy Kelly and the still under-appreciated Marcus Allen. Forgetting for the moment that I can’t recall seeing a Kelly auto in any previous product, the inclusion of veteran, HOF’ers and “fan favorites of yore” ensures that collectors are breaking product with value that will extend beyond the rookie seasons of the other hits, hits from players who may or not make an NFL mark. Looks great, ‘nutha box to break!
A happy and healthy Thanksgiving to all-

  6. The rookie gridiron hidden gems are some of the most unique coolest rookie cards on the market. Just wished i could ever pull one lol. The inserts, memorabilia, and base look awesome. I will have to say though…the NFL Gridiron signatures I love these to death the looks of them. However i do have a problem with them….They make me miss Epix even more 🙁 But glad to see that the design from those were taken and added to Gridiron Gear. Its also sweet to see the Breast cancer awareness cards included. Are any of them signed? once again Panini, I am clapping my hands on another great job!
