SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Being the exclusive trading card manufacturer of the NBA and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame obviously has its advantages -- and most of them were on legendary display for Panini America over the weekend during induction ceremonies for the 2014 class. SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Being the exclusive trading card manufacturer of the NBA and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame obviously has its advantages — and most of them were on legendary display for Panini America over the weekend during induction ceremonies for the 2014 class. Things began in earnest last Thursday, when Panini America presented the official Enshrinement Autograph Session featuring 2014 inductees Alonzo Mourning, Gary Williams, Nolan Richardson, Mitch Richmond and Sarunas Marciulionis.
The session also featured fellow Hall of Famers Jamaal Wilkes, Nate Archibald, Ralph Sampson and Meadowlark Lemon. Festivities continued Thursday night at the Family Reunion and Awards Dinner, when everyone in attendance received a commemorative 10-card Panini America Hall of Fame card set in a custom pouch.
All of that, of course, set the stage for Friday night’s induction ceremony, featuring former NBA commissioner David Stern and the other distinguished members of the 2014 class. Luckily for all of us, Panini America’s Scott Prusha and Ivory Tabb were on location in Springfield to help document the weekend’s festivities. The following gallery provides just a few of the highlights. Enjoy.
Lucky for those who were there! I’m sure it was a great Treat to fans and NBA Families.
Alonzo Mourning!
Please have David Stern on-card autographs in your products.
One of my best sports memories as a kid is walking through the basketball HOF with my parents, if you are anywhere near it geographically it’s worth the trip. Good job welcoming the new class and giving the fans a way to interact with the inductees. Thanks Tracy!
Great pics as always.
