Panini America Redemption Card Update: Kobe Bryants En Route to Collectors

The following list is by no means complete, but it does let collectors know which redemption cards from which products are being processed this week. We’ll update this list at least once a week — and more frequently if possible – in the coming days.

In an effort to keep collectors updated on the status of those Panini America redemption cards that are currently being processed at a breakneck clip, we’ll post a list, like the one below, detailing the most recent cards being fulfilled.

  1. This all seems so backwards. You’re announcing the “release” of a handful of Kobe autos from 2010-11 products. I’m waiting on three, count ’em three, Kobe autos from 2009-10 products. How does this happen?

How about updates on the following Kobe autos:
09-10 Limited – Jumbo Jersey Numbers Signatures, card 14
    09-10 Contenders – Playoff Tickets, card 86
09-10 Classics – Dress Code Signatures, card 17

I’m pretty sure these are already in stock so I don’t understand the delay in expediting their release. If they aren’t in stock, why is Kobe signing 10-11 stuff before 09-10 stuff?

Can someone explain any of this?

    1. To Jim, John and anyone else asking about past-year Kobe autographs. I talked to the customer service manager and this is what he said:

“We are currently batching Kobe Autos that have just been released to the customer service department. We will be batching in-house current inventory early next week.”

      1. Magic Johnson included from 09-10 products? thanks for asking CS about this. gives us something to look forward to.

  2. Tracy,

Can you please find out once in for all why my 4 Kobe Bryant Autographs from 2009-10 would not be fulfilled over this 2010-11 cards. This just does not make any sense to me why all these current cards are being sent out by all my cards from 2008, 2009, and 2010 are not being fulfilled when the players have already signed them and are already live.

  3. Any news on :

2011 Panini Limited – Team Trademarks Signature Materials /25??

I’ve had the redemption in since mid December..

  4. Tracy,

Thank you for the follow up. I appreciate it very much. You just have to understand where the customer is coming from and time to time we get nervous and or hasty because we already invested the money a while back and just want the return on our investment. A redemption is basically a loan to the manufacturer until the card promised is made and delivered.

    1. You’re welcome, John. I completely understand where you and all collectors are coming from. My vow is to offer as many updates as possible as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience; we will get ahead of this redemption curve — it’s just a matter of when.

      1. Why would Panini not fulfill redemption’s based on product release date? Does it make too much sense to do it that way or am I missing something here?

  5. this is cool for me, as i am expecting a kobe craftsmen auto, though i just received my joe johnson craftsmen auto and was a little bummed it wasn’t “on card”.
am i correct in believing the kobes will be?
Tracy, you are awesome, thanks for the updates.
p.s. i feel for you confused “waiters”, i am in that boat too.

  6. CS said that my KOBE redemption card will be going ‘shortly’.

A week has passed, but i haven’t received any updated email yet.
im still waiting on the KOBE redemption card.

    What’s wrong?
