Panini America Releases Checklist for 2011 Prestige Football; Short Print List to Follow

Panini America officials this afternoon unveiled the complete checklist for 2011 Prestige Football, the first fully licensed NFL trading card set of the season that released today.

Panini America officials on Wednesday afternoon unveiled the complete checklist for 2011 Prestige Football, the first fully licensed NFL trading card set of the season that released earlier this week.

The product includes a deep checklist of 100 Rookie Cards updated with 2011 NFL Draft information as well as a few short-print and variation surprises. We’ve already told you about the 18 one-per-box RC variations. But there are also 10 SPs that we’ll detail in the coming days.

Until then, take a gander at the complete checklist for 2011 Prestige Football:

  1. Wow a very strange commons list. No David Gettis or Brandon Lafell in the Panthers? And why No Gettis gu or autos in the Rookie review? ALso No rbs in the Dallas Cowboys Commons.

  2. Am i crazy or did i not see any Cam Newton autos?? Maybe im crazy/ Cant wait to bust some boxes!

  3. What’s up with the Browns not getting much Love? Browns fans collect as well! I reviewed the checklist and unless I’ve missed something their showing is minimal! COME OOOONNNNN MAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway looks like a great product!

  4. Cam is holding THREE cards is the picture? I thought there were only two variations of his card??? Is there a third ??? CHA-CHING!!!!!

    1. I got a pack and pulled a jersey card which would be considered to be a “prime” swatch and it wasn’t numbered. Hmm …

  5. I am so unhappy with prestige this year! I waited excitedly for this release like everyone else has, come to find out that two of the biggest names in this years draft (newton & Ingram) are not even in here as far as auto’s. But with that being said i am a football card junky and i do love the design and price of prestige, so i decided to go to my local shop and pick up a few(2) boxes. Either i got the two worst boxes ever or there is an overload of undrafted autos in this product! I did recieve 4 autos in my 2 boxes but 3 of them are undrafted players #ed /1499. (Courtney Smith, Derrick Locke, and John Clay). My last auto was Brandon Harris #ed /599. Total hits in 2 boxes was 9 so i did get an extra hit but i dont think it made up for it!

    1. Certainly not the greatest boxes out there. There are a limited number of Ingram autos in this product; but we couldn’t get Newton in time. Sorry about the less-than-stellar break. Thanks for your candor, though. May the future mojo be with you.

  6. I hate the fact that the Variation Rookie cards are inserted one in every box now. It kinda takes the luster off of them now. Atleast you still have some SP’s going around though. And also, why did a few of the base rookies get almost 1500 autos? Of course, my first auto was one of the only few that were numbered soooooo dang high.

  7. I have pretty much narrowed down the SP’s you are talking about to 9 although I could be wrong. Don’t want to ruin your surprise but I am sure the following is mostly short-printed:
    1. Clayborn #203
    2. Black #204
    3. Carter #213
    4. Newton #214 (the bold team name variation)
    5. McCarthy #221
    6. Gates #239
    7. T. Smith #255
    8. McNeil #267
    9. Stanzi #281

I base these on the fact that there only 2 or 3 of the regular base versions for sale on Ebay. I could be wrong on a few of them but certainly not on all of them 🙂 Anybody know of any others that might fall into this category. It sounds like these are replacing the variation draft cards 1/box. The base sp’s look to be about 1/case.

  8. Also, in regards to the Prestige base RC SSP’s. I have a few people telling me that Mark Ingram and Nick Fairley are the other two SSP’s and not McCarthy as I mentioned previously. That means the list of SSP’s should really be:

    1. Clayborn #203
    2. Black #204
    3. Carter #213
    4. Newton #214 (the bold team name variation)
    5. Gates #239
    6. T. Smith #255
    7. Ingram #265
    8. McNeil #267
    9. Fairley #269
    10. Stanzi #281

Sorry, but this information is already starting to leak out there so I am just leveling the playing field by letting all know (of course, this depends on Panini’s willingness to post this). There are at least 2 sellers on Ebay selling complete sets and they are listing the same list you see above, so it is hardly a secret when it is the only real 2011 RC set out there and mass cases were bought and susequently listed on Ebay. It doesn’t really take a genius to figure this out. Card prices on these are really starting to heat up and I feel sorry for those that sold these at $2 or $3 a pop and now are going for $10 or $20 at least.

  9. I just pulled a Mark Ingram “Rookie Debut” patch auto with the inscription “GO SAINTS!” under his signature. I was wondering if 1) Ingram signed all of these cards with the “GO SAINTS!” inscription and 2) how many Ingram Rookie Debut patch autos were released? Thanks for the awesome card, Panini!

    1. Nice pull and congrats. I can assure you that he didn’t add the “Go Saints” inscription to all of his cards. As for how many he signed total, let’s just say “not many.”
