LOS ANGELES — On a whirlwind Wednesday evening in downtown Los Angeles, one of the most important events of the collecting season kicked off in earnest as the top rookies from the 2015 NFL Draft began making their way through the Panini America Player Lounge on the first day of the 2015 NFLPA Rookie Premiere. In all, 11 of the 41 players in attendance came through Wednesday, including Todd Gurley, Kevin White, Ameer Abdullah, Tevin Coleman, Tyler Lockett and more.

While they were there, they signed autographs (including black metal and 14 karat gold pieces for 2015 Black Gold Football, hard-signed Pen Pals cards and more) and posed for the pictures that will be used for their unique Next Day cards that will be completed in the coming hours, Oh, and to a man, they seemed to revel in the experience.

Player content rotations will continue at the host hotel today and Friday, giving way to Saturday’s headline event at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. In the gallery that follows, we provide a photographic recap of Wednesday’s action, aided by a huge assist from Panini America photographer Jeff Haynes.
