Panini America Rushing Dodgers Sensation Yasiel Puig into 2013 Pinnacle, 2013 Prizm

It’s been quite a week for 22-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig. The injury-riddled Dodgers called him up Sunday, no doubt hoping he could offer some much-needed offensive production. Puig made his major-league debut Monday against San Diego with two hits, a tip-of-the-iceberg tease of an impending phenomenon.

All he’s done in the three games since is take an entire league by storm by going 5-for-12 with three home runs (two in his second game, one buzz-generating grand slam yesterday in a 5-0 win over Atlanta) and nine RBI in leading the Dodgers to a 3-1 record. Before he belted his second dinger against San Diego on Tuesday, Panini America officials already had added him to the checklists for upcoming MLBPA products 2013 Pinnacle Baseball and 2013 Prizm Baseball.

Today, we offer you a sneak peek at Puig’s first Panini America Rookie Card, coming to the late-July release of 2013 Pinnacle Baseball. His 2013 Prizm Rookie Card will follow in late August. For the record, if you projected Puig’s ridiculous four-game performance so far over a full, 162-game season, he’d finish with 122 home runs, 365 RBI and a .438 batting average. Just sayin’.
