Panini America Showcases the Sickness of 2012 Limited Football’s Jumbo Primes

As Panini America collectors across the country settle in today for NFL Conference Championship Sunday and another wicked round of the wildly popular #PaniniWildCard promotion, we wanted to set the tone for a big day with something even bigger: Specifically, the mammoth prime memorabilia madness at play in the new 2012 Limited Football.

As Panini America collectors across the country settle in today for NFL Conference Championship Sunday and another wicked round of the wildly popular #PaniniWildCard promotion, we wanted to set the tone for a big day with something perhaps even bigger: Specifically, the mammoth prime memorabilia madness at play in the new 2012 Limited Football.

To be sure, there’s nothing limited — at all — about the absolutely sick selections showcased in the following Drool Gallery. The secondary market value of the following beauties can’t be contained, either. We’re talking big, bold and rare multicolored swatches of game-worn history from the likes of Walter Payton, Joe Namath and a whole host of contemporary playmakers such as Ray Rice, Roddy White, Adrian Peterson, Eli Manning and many more.

We’ve also included some of the oversized event-worn beauties from top 2012 rookies such as Panini Authentic exclusive Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Brandon Weeden and more. Collectively, the following cards and their counterparts in the Jumbo Prime Jersey Number and Rookie Jumbo Prime inserts have kept 2012 Limited Football burning up the secondary market in its first week on the shelves.

They’ll also be largely responsible for the product not being on those shelves for long.

Enjoy this jaw-dropping gallery, enjoy today’s NFC and AFC Conference Championship Games and enjoy the #PaniniWildCard promotion. We can’t wait.

  2. Nice looking patches Tracy!! I especially like the Joe Namath and Walter Payton legend jumbos. This year’s Limited looks alot better than the past few years in my opinion. The design team did a great job and I appreciate the sneak peeks you continue to bring us on a weekly basis. Enjoy what is left of the weekend!!

  3. That Wilson made me fall out of my chair–SO NASTY!!! Have you ever thought about putting a zero in front of the single digit number jerseys (like Cassel and Ponder to give it more jumbo jersey material for the collector — 07). I know I would love more gamer material on my favorite players card. Have a great day and thanks for the contest! SF vs. Balt for the brother Super Bowl.

  4. Now this is mem’ done right! No wimpy, single color swatches the approximate size of a chick-pea here! These patches have some VERY impressive meat to them and are that rare kind of card you pull from a pack…and proceed to tell all your friends, and even people who just look like your friends, allll about.
Well done, Panini, well done 🙂

  5. I love that this board goes SILENT at 3:00 just before the stat of the games lol. Anyway, Panini has outdone itself with the 2012 Limited football set. These cards are awesome and provide collectors with fantastic pieces of their favorite players and brings them as close to the game as ever! Keep it up Panini and Tracy and we will continue to buy and collect in droves! #PaniniWildCard

  6. What an unreal gallery! These subsets are always very highly sought after and this year’s should be no exception with those types of patches and the clean design. Thanks Tracy!

  7. This is the second NFL product I’ve loved and I’m an NBA only collector. Please cut and paste these designs, and that of the crown royale, over to NBA products.

  8. One of those Walter Payton card will be mine! The pats are making me nervous rite now so I had to step away for a minute. See what panini is up to loving the jumbo patches. Patriots better win.
