BROOKLYN, N.Y. — NBA commissioner Adam Silver presided over his second NBA Draft last night at Barclays Center and spent every five minutes or so helping NBA dreams come true for some of the most talented young basketball players on the planet. Just a few months later, Panini America will continue that dream by releasing the first NBA-licensed Rookie Cards of last night's picks inside 2015-16 NBA Hoops Basketball.

And if you weren’t keeping up with the Panini America Twitter and Instagram feeds last night, well, you missed out on the Panini America #HoopsRookie reveal, a real-time unveiling of the top picks’ 2015-16 NBA Hoops Basketball Rookie Cards. It started just minutes after No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves and lasted until the wee hours of Friday morning, until we could properly celebrate that Rakeem Christmas gift of a jacket following the big man’s trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
So just in case you missed any of last night’s #HoopsRookie reveals, we’ve provided a comprehensive recap in the gallery that follows — including a few virtual “variations” of some players that you may have missed even if you were locked in on social media. Enjoy the recap and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for complete coverage of the exciting 2015 NBA Draft Class.
Not sure which is more awkward: some of those poses, the Knicks fan reaction to their pick at 4 or some of the suits. Great job following all the action, thanks Tracy!
If this is the design of 2014-15 Hoops, I like it, a Lot! If we can get the full NBA in it (no paltry 300 cards, ignoring 125 players) it could be the best Panini set ever.
This is indeed the 2015-16 NBA Hoops design. I haven’t seen the checklist yet, but it will no doubt be one of our biggest base sets of the 2015-16 season.
Good news. Hoops has always been one of my favorite sets, due to how it used to cover the entire NBA, coaches and highlights.
Will any of these cards be autographed?
These particular cards won’t be, but you can bet we’ll have lots of great autograph cards from members of the 2015 NBA Draft.

Great Design – I Hope the photos will be cropped a little tighter than last year. When is the estimated release date for 2015-16 Hoops
Tracy- has Hoops ever considered doing “League Leaders” cards again?
