Panini America Takes a Revealing First Look at Historic Country Music Trading Card Set

Panini America 2015 Country Music Base Set Preview (21)

Since the day in late October that Panini America first announced plans to produce a standalone trading card set devoted exclusively to the legends, superstars and fresh faces of country music, music fans and collectors alike have anxiously awaited more details on exactly what the product would entail. Today, Panini America starts providing some of those details.

The star-studded and simply named Panini Country Music is an action-packed, full-color thrill ride through one of the world’s most adored musical genres honoring the men and women — past, present and future — who’ve made it so memorable. Boasting a powerful checklist that features solo acts (such as Darius Rucker, LeAnn Rimes, Ronnie Millsap and Wynonna) alongside band favorites (such as Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band), Panini Country Music is bolstered a bevy of unique autograph and star-worn memorabilia cards.

The product began packing out and shipping to retail outlets yesterday, providing us the opportunity to grab the first live images of the product for this tip-of-the-iceberg teaser. Below, we provide a preliminary look at the product’s base set.

Check back in the coming days for a look at everything else — autographs, dual autographs, inserts and the stunning Silhouettes autograph memorabilia cards. Until then, let’s get the ball rolling with this . . .

  1. We need an old school Rock set! Imagine pulling an Angus Young or Ozzy Osbourne auto. Or cut signatures of legends like Freddy Mercury, Brian Connolly, Bon Scott, Jim Morrison, etc. Ahhh a kid can only dream…

  2. I showed this gallery to my cousin this week, he’s never collected anything in his life but he’s a big country music fan. When I told him there were going to be autographed versions of many of these, his response was “REALLY?!?!?!” Something tells me you may have inspired a new hobbyist with this set, and the first of anything this groundbreaking has the potential for big things. Thanks Tracy!
