Panini America Teams with Denver Broncos for “Salute to Service” Tribute on Sunday

Sunday night's monumental showdown between the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and the 8-1 Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High would be of huge importance even if it didn't feature the two best teams in the AFC. Sunday night’s monumental showdown between the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and the 8-1 Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High would be of huge importance even if it didn’t feature the two best teams in the AFC. The fact that it also is the Broncos’ designated “Salute to Service” home game makes the matchup that much more meaningful.

The Broncos are partnering with USAA and OtterBox for a fitting Sunday tribute to veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. military that includes a pregame reception for 200 military guests and 22 soldiers lining the player introduction tunnel before the game. The Broncos also will honor a Military Family of the Game and welcome all branches of the military, including the Wounded Warriors and Colorado National Guard, on to the field. But before any of that, the Broncos will hand out special packs of 2013 Score Football cards featuring a camouflage design.

Panini America’s Salute to Service Score Team Set features seven cards — six player cards and one bonus card featuring special offers from OtterBox and Panini Authentic, the exclusive game-worn jersey partner of the Denver Broncos, on either side. (Check out the gallery below to see the complete set.)

The NFL’s Salute to Service initiative features special helmet decals, camouflage ribbon footballs and pylons, camouflage goal post wraps and camouflage equipment such as towels, gloves and hats. The NFL designates 32 games, one home game for each team, as Salute to Service games and donates proceeds to its three core military non-profit partners: The Wounded Warrior Project, the USO and the Pat Tillman Foundation. Last season the NFL donated nearly $800,000 through the Salute to Service campaign.

Game-worn merchandise and footballs used in Salute to Service games is being auctioned at www.nfl.com/auction and special camouflage merchandise is available for purchase at www.NFLShop.com. All of the net proceeds will be donated to the league’s three core military nonprofit partners. For more information check out www.nfl.com/salute.

  1. Should somehow make these avail to the rest of us & donate the proceeds to those charities too. I’d love to have a Manning one

  2. This is really neat. Thanks for doing all of that for those military families and veterans. Makes me proud to be a Panini collector!
