Two weeks from today in Matthews, N.C., Panini America officials will officially tip off the 2018 NBA Player of the Day hobby shop promotion with a special event at AAA Collectibles featuring Charlotte Hornets rookie and former University of Kentucky superstar Malik Monk. Monk will appear at the store on February 26 from 5 to 6 p.m. for a free one-hour signing session.

We’ll have complete details on this year’s NBA Player of the Day promotion in the coming days right here on The Knight’s Lance. But once again this year, the grand prize for one lucky collector will be the opportunity to spend the with an NBA player.¬†Last year, Bryce McMahon of Ladera Ranch, Calif., hosted a private party at his home with the legendary Shaquille O’Neal and then shared his prize with a one-hour autograph session at his favorite shop, MVP Sports Cards. In 2016, Brian Bolanda of Apple Valley, Minn., spent the day with Karl-Anthony Towns. The event included a private party for Bolanda and his friends and family at a local community center and then a free autograph session for the community at his favorite hobby shop, The Ballpark, in Apple Valley.

To officially begin the last year’s Panini NBA Player of the Day promotion, Panini America hosted a free autograph session with the Milwaukee Bucks’ Thon Maker at Name That Card in Milwaukee.
