Panini America to Distribute Special 50th Anniversary Set at 2011 Industry Summit
Panini America officials on Sunday unveiled a special 50th anniversary set that the company will distribute during its NBA, NHL and NFL roundtable discussions at the 2011 Industry Summit in Las Vegas.
The 15-card set features specially stamped versions of the cards that Panini America made available earlier this year at the 2011 NHL All-Star Game in Raleigh, N.C., Super Bowl XLV in Dallas and the 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.
Panini America’s Modena, Italy-based parent company kicked off its landmark 50th season earlier this year with the release of its Calciatori Italian Soccer Sticker Collection. Astute American collectors no doubt have noticed the 50th anniversary logo that started appearing on all Panini America trading card boxes beginning with 2011 releases.
The global collectibles leader got its start back in 1961 thanks to the vision of Giuseppe, Benito, Umberto and Franco, the Panini brothers. The company will conduct special events honoring the milestone all year long, culminating in December. Panini America will help the company celebrate with its own activation as the year progresses, beginning this week in Las Vegas with this special set:
