Panini America: Your Source for Autograph Cards from These Top NFL Superstars

In our never-ending quest to continually improve product quality and deliver value across all of Panini America's brands and sports, it's not at all uncommon for our Product Development teams to often take a look back before taking the next step forward.

In our never-ending quest to continually improve product quality and deliver value across all of Panini America’s brands and sports, it’s not at all uncommon for our Product Development teams to often take a look back before taking the next step forward.

Indeed, amid the constant flurry of new releases and working six months ahead, it’s that reflection that affords team members the opportunity to assess what worked, what didn’t and what’s next. Often, they discover trends or nuances that seem so obvious in hindsight but sometimes get lost in the moment. Last month, the Panini America NFL team hit upon one such example.

Turns out that Panini America products over the last few years have been the only place to find certified autograph cards from some of the best veteran superstars in the NFL. In fact, when cross-referencing the Top 100 NFL Players lists for 2012 (one selected by the league, the other by fans) with recent autograph trading cards issued (according to Beckett.com), there were a staggering number of top-level stars whose newer autographs can be found only in Panini America products.

The short list of examples: Calvin JohnsonVictor Cruz, Larry Fitzgerald, Charles Woodson, Ben Roethlisberger and Troy Polamalu. There are more, and the series of charts that follows more clearly illustrates the point, but we thought it was a point well worth sharing.

  3. Hey Tracy, have y’all reached out to Julius Peppers to see about adding him to some products. His only autos right now were a bunch of short prints his rookie year. I was just curious after seeing this list because Woodson and Polamalu were both the same way before you were able to sign them.

    1. We have been trying for 2 + years to secure Peppers and will keep trying. We talk with our FB Aquisitons dept weekly/monthly to identify players that have either not signed or have very little autos on the market.
