Panini America’s 2011 Preferred Basketball Peekapalooza Continues with New Images

Yesterday we shared with you images of the first live cards from Panini America's upcoming 2011 Preferred Basketball set. The scenes yesterday captured just a small portion of the Panini's Choice and Crown Royale base and parallel cards that will soon be crossing the country with acquisitions guru Ivory Tabb in pursuit of on-card signatures from the NBA's greatest current stars and all-time greats.

Yesterday we shared with you images of the first live cards from Panini America’s upcoming 2011 Preferred Basketball set. The scenes yesterday captured just a small portion of the Panini’s Choice and Crown Royale base and parallel cards that will soon be crossing the country with acquisitions guru Ivory Tabb in pursuit of on-card signatures from the NBA’s greatest current stars and all-time greats.

This morning, a whole new shipment of these multicolored marvels arrived featuring new players and new versions. What ensued was an all-hands-on-deck assault to QC, count and prepare each player’s individual shipment. And we were there to capture all of the action.

Enjoy this new peek and be prepared: We’ve been told that Preferred’s spectacular Silhouettes prime-patch memorabilia cards are on their way to Panini America HQ from the production facility this afternoon. As soon as they arrive, we’ll show you the must-see first glimpses right here at The Knight’s Lance before those, too, embark on their signature journey.

  2. I cant believe my email put this into the spam box!!! I have waited all day for a Knights Lance and was well worth it. Love prism cards!!! might have to give basketball another try! holy canoly! these are nice! You ae doing what i have been waiting for…bringing back some of the late 90’s ideas! Sweet panini choice awards! You guys should win one for products like this!

  3. No wonder its hard to get a mint clean card from them. Just carry them around the country in a white box???? I can see right now that alot of those diamond shaped cards will have a bad top point. We collectors expect you guys to treat the cards as well as we do. Its disappointing to get a nice auto and have the edges chipped and a dinged corner.

    1. Trust me when I tell you that we treat the cards like delicate treasures. Many of the pics show how the cards arrive off the truck from the printer. They are shipped to and returned from the players as safely and securely as possible.

  4. Tracy, can you check to see if any of the 6-8 piece booklets have any Pistons in them? I am thinking of trying to get a box, mainly for the 6-8 piece booklets if it has a Pistons in it, if not, hopefully I get one with Rose/Durant/Kobe/Paul/Blake/Wall. 🙂 If there’s one of those, that would sell for a pretty penny. 🙂 Thanks for checking, if you get the time.

  5. Thanks for the sneak peeks but a little math is in order… $200 a pack, 4 cards per pack. That’s $50 a card! Even with an autograph on every card this is still quite a financial commitment. Thank goodness we have $1 & $2 Hoops packs to look forward to. I’m hoping Hoops will have Rookie Cards but I have my doubts based on Tracy’s reply above where he only mentions Limited and Gold Standard. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

  6. Looking forward to seeing more of this product… but dislike the die-cut cards… too many sharp edges.. result in dinged or chipped corners/sidings.. Wish the old Pacific Prism 1994 or 1995 style was back… can’t wait for HOOPS to be released. Can’t wait to get my hands on some throwback autos…. ??

  7. Havent seen any Knights Lance today 🙁 So had to come back and view this one again!! 🙂
    Once again really nice!

  8. Wow! Look forward to breaking some of these! Love that Charles Oakley.

Tracy Hackler, any chance John Starks is in this set?
