Panini America’s Iconic Score Football Set to Celebrate 30th Anniversary (Preview)
Panini America’s fabled Score Football franchise was at the forefront of the modern football-card boom in the late 1980s with a green-bordered beast of a 1989 debut that included now-iconic Rookie Cards featuring the likes of Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman and more. Fast forward three decades — or, seemingly an eternity in hobby years — and the brand remains a robust start to every collecting season. And with the late-April release of 2019 Score Football, the company is planning to inject a wealth of 30th Anniversary tributes into the product with a classic throwback design, hobby-exclusive 1989 Score Football BuyBack cards, rare autograph versions and more.
Scheduled to release on April 24, hobby boxes (40 cards per pack, 10 packs per box, 12 boxes per case) will deliver, on average, four autographs, 96 Rookie Cards, 10 parallels, 36 inserts and one foil-stamped BuyBack. Once again this season, Score Football will deliver some of the first officially licensed Rookie Cards and Rookie Card Autographs from the top 2019 rookies.
The highlights of this special 30th Anniversary edition of Score Football are many and include . . .
