Panini America’s recent release of back-to-back juggernauts in 2012 Prizm Football and 2012 Contenders Football have served to set the stage for a blockbuster three-product finale to the 2012 collecting season. Over the course of the next seven or eight weeks, 2012 Totally Certified, 2012 Playbook and 2012 National Treasures will afford collectors three final opportunities to cherish one of the greatest collecting seasons in modern history.

Today, amid the still-frenzied activity surrounding Prizm and Contenders, we’re going to shed a little light on some recent arrivals at Panini America HQ destined to make 2012 National Treasures Football the most impressive edition in the brand’s proud, super-premium history.

The dramatic introduction to National Treasures of more legend and veteran superstar on-card autographs than ever before, and the addition of fantastic Jumbo autographed rookie booklets, have sent collector expectations for this year’s edition to previously unseen levels. In the gallery that follows, we showcase some of each: Early on-card returns from the likes of John Elway, Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson, and some of the as-yet-unsigned Jumbo booklets that were delivered to the office late Thursday evening before being expedited to the respective players on them for signing.

Also included in the gallery are must-see first glimpses of a bevy of Andrew Luck National Treasures gems that will bear on-card autographs from the Panini Authentic exclusive the next time you see them.

Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continuing coverage of 2012 National Treasures Football.

  2. Tracy,
That Jumbo Patch Tannehill is awesome, between this and Playbook, you guys keep getting better every year. The legends autos jump off the cards, really sharp.
    Great work again guys.
    T

  3. Wow 🙂 Stuff looks sleek and smooth. Love all the retired players autographs and even the current players have some nice on card pieces. The Rpa looks very nice also. Panini did a great job so far, and Im sure some of the one of a kind pieces will be incredible. Great work guys, keep it up. Any idea of price per box yet Tracy? Thanks for the sneak peak as always.

  4. The vet on card auto’s look really great, especially the design. The RPA’s, don’t look as great as they have in the past. Last year’s NT was amazing.

  5. I love that Peterson.

The booklets will look amazing after they are signed. I really like the design of the retired player autos too. There is plenty of room for them to sign a nice looking autograph, where the current players are confined to the smaller box.

I already have my singles wish list, and can’t wait for this product to hit the streets.

  6. Those look incredible, I’m sure I’ll never be able to land a Luck but that Reggie Wayne will be at the top of my want list. Thanks as always Tracy!

  7. Wow! National Treasures2012 looks like it could be the best yet! I love how you guys added more on-card autos of vets and Hall of Famers. This should prove to everybody that you guys do listen to feedback from us collectors, good and bad and you guys strive to be the best and put out the best product in the business! You will never make everybody happy but my daughters and I are always happy with every product you put out. The Rookie patch auto design looks great this year. Some people might complain that the patch is smaller than last years but I think it’s the perfect size because it leaves plenty of room for the autograph without it being to crowded. Great job with that! My daughters and I already have 1 box pre-ordered because that’s all our LCS could promise us but I hope I can get at least 2 boxes because this will definitely be product of the year as always! I’m going to start saving $3 out of every haircut I cut just for some National Treasures! Keep up the great work Panini and you too Tracy! Big props to the design team on this one! I hope I cut a LOT of haircuts before it comes out, LOL

  8. Look I love NT but lets be honest. There is WAY too much white on those Rookie RPAs. Especially for a product that is the priciest on the market. The Veteran autos look great as always. That Luck Printing Plate is just terrible. 1/2 the card is just white. Also a 1/1 Logo Shield should not have 1/4 of the card pure white. Pretty Disappointing Panini.

  9. Love this…once I’m done w/ Contenders this week I’m doing nothing but saving for as much National Treasures as possible…usually just try one box but trying for the case this year!!!! Thanks Panini!!!
