All this talk about Jeremy Lin (which we absolutely love, by the way) has served to swipe some of the spotlight away from another young player enjoying a spectacular season in his own right: Cleveland Cavaliers No. 1 overall pick Kyrie Irving.

Panini America signed Irving — a player Dime Magazine recently called Cleveland’s “New King” — to an exclusive agreement in late June. And earlier this week, Panini Authentic point man Brian Bayne traveled to Cleveland to conduct the company’s first signing with the NBA’s leading rookie scorer (18.2 ppg).
To be sure, Bayne made the most of his time with Irving, securing the standout’s distinctive signature on several new items that will be available for sale on the Panini Authentic Website in the coming days. Bayne also brought the ultimate Irving souvenir back to Panini America HQ — a pair of signed and game-worn sneakers that Irving wore for several games in early January.
And before you ask, yes, those shoes will be available on the site, too. So check Panini Authentic often and enjoy the following glimpses of Irving’s first Panini America signing. Trust us, there will be more.
You the man KI
I really havenot been following basketball lately is this guy like a John Wall? Is this the rookie to be on the look out for?
•—Thank’s
YEs this is the IT rookie this year. He’ playing better than any rookie this season. I cant wait for the first chance to pull one of his rookie autos!
no he is way better than John Wall he is doing better than Lebron in his rookie year
Nice memorabilia but let’s see Kyrie putting some ink on cardboard!
Sweet! Hope he ends up being allowed to play for the Boomers, pretty cool with the dual citizenship he would choose the Aussie national team!
He definitely has a nice, big interesting autograph. Too bad I haven’t been hearing too much about him this year but he has quietly been under the radar.
Some nice stuff!!
He is rookie of the year to me! And being a former Duke player, I am rooting him on!
I meant…with him being a former Duke player…not me…I wished….just a Duke fan here. What a crazy game last night!
My kid went to the Kyrie Irving basketball camp last summer and got an autograph poster and 4×6 card signed in person by Kyrie Irving. We can’t wait to see some trading cards from Panini with Kyrie’s signature.
Those kicks are cool. It looks like he actually wore them more than once… which is cool. Nice inscription.
