PANINI BREAKS THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ TITLE FOR THE LARGEST STICKER SWAP

Celebration of the Panini FIFA World Cup 2026™ Sticker Collection at Venues in the United States and Mexico
Irving, TX – July 12, 2026 – The Panini FIFA World Cup 2026™ Sticker Collection has captured the excitement of fans and collectors across the United States and around the world.
That passion was on display once again today, as Panini, FIFA’s exclusive partner for official stickers, trading cards, trading-card games and digital collectibles, set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest Sports Sticker Exchange in 8 Hours (multiple venue). A record 4,446 people exchanged Panini FIFA World Cup 2026™ stickers across four international locations: Rockefeller Center in New York City, the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ, the FIFA Fan Festival™ at the Zócalo in Mexico City, and Parque de las Niñas y los Niños in Zapopan, Jalisco.
Representatives from Guinness World Records were present to verify the milestone.
“The Panini FIFA World Cup sticker collection has been a global tradition for nearly 60 years, something that families and fans have enjoyed for generations,” said Jason Howarth, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Athlete Relations for Panini America. “Today’s GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement is just the latest example of the enthusiasm and spirit that our collection generates. It was a special day to have so many fans participate in this with us.”
Among the 4,446 people who traded stickers and helped set the record were former U.S. Women’s National Team member and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup™ champion Kristine Lilly, Jaedyn Shaw and Midge Purce of the U.S. Women’s National Team and Gotham FC, and former Mexico Men’s National Team captain Pavel Pardo. Shaw and Pardo were at Rockefeller Center, while Lilly and Purce participated at American Dream.
“Breaking this record is especially meaningful for us because Panini stickers are such an important part of how fans experience the FIFA World Cup™,” said Marina Benavides, CEO Panini Mexico. “For generations, collecting, swapping and completing the album has brought families, friends and communities together. It is a celebration of our fans, their energy and their deep connection with the Sticker Collection in Mexico and the whole world.”
This year’s collection is Panini’s largest ever at 980 stickers, and more than two billion packs of stickers have been produced.
