You could already call NiJaree Canady “perfect” without getting any strange looks. Rising to arguably the best player in college softball, the Texas Tech senior flirted with flawlessness every time she stepped into the circle.

On May 2, 2026, her final regular-season game as a college athlete, she made that title official. The superstar tossed her first-ever perfect game, sitting down each of the 15 batters she faced. Nine of those outs were of the strikeout variety.
