Written by: Connor Zimmerlee
Week in and week out, the NFL delivers a slate of action-packed games filled with brilliant performances. It was no different in Week 7. And while it isn’t easy keeping up with every match, you can count on this recap to highlight a plethora of standout showings that you can add to your collection through the latest batch of Panini Instant NFL cards.
Thursday Night Football brought us a divisional duel. This round was an AFC North clash between the first-place Steelers and the Bengals in a quarterback battle between two Super Bowl champs.
In what was a thrilling, back-and-forth affair, Aaron Rodgers showed why he’s a four-time MVP with 249 yards and four touchdowns. It was his 36th career game with at least four passing scores, moving him past Peyton Manning for third most in NFL history.
Joe Flacco managed to escape with the dub, however. The newest member of the Bengals threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-31 victory. Strengthening his case for best receiver in the league during that same game, Ja’Marr Chase set a franchise record for most catches in a match (16), breaking his own previous mark of 15.
In London, Matthew Stafford made sure the Rams took care of business against the Jaguars. While he only threw for 182 yards, the signal-caller tossed a whopping five touchdown passes in a 35-7 rout. Catching one of those TD tosses was rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson — the 31-yard snag was the first score of his career.
He wasn’t the only rookie who made a splash overseas. On the other sideline, two-way phenom Travis Hunter went off for eight catches for 101 yards while also logging his first touchdown.
Moving from the aerial attack to the ground, a pair of running backs delivered three-touchdown performances. Jonathan Taylor found paydirt three times during the Colts’ 38-24 win over the Chargers, while rookie Quinshon Judkins fueled a 31-6 romp of the Dolphins with his own trifecta of TDs.
All these performances, as well as others including Tyler Warren and Rashee Rice and more, can be yours with the newest batch of Panini Instant NFL.
