Panini NIL: OSU, Texas and Nebraska Enter CFB Bowl Season
Written by: Connor Zimmerlee
After a long and entertaining season filled with upsets, marquee victories and fierce rivalries, college football turns its attention to the postseason. To be more specific: bowl season. As these athletes prepare for the chance to bring home hard-fought hardware, allow us to offer you a brief recap on the three college football squads under Panini’s NIL umbrella.
Starting us off are the Texas Longhorns, who went and flat out dominated during their first season as members of the SEC. The Longhorns remained unfazed by the detractors saying they weren’t ready for their new conference. Leading the way was quarterback Quinn Ewers, who squashed all doubts with several strong performances – including wins over Michigan and Texas A&M. He helped lead Texas to a dazzling 11-2 record and a spot in the College Football Playoff with his 2,665 yards and 25 touchdowns through the air.
Also earning a trip to the College Football Playoff were the Ohio State Buckeyes, thanks in part to the dynamic Quinshon Judkins. Transferring from Ole Miss and changing teams did not slow the star ball-carrier down. Instead, he stepped up his game. Powering one of the nation’s top offenses, he ran for 805 yards and eight touchdowns to help the Buckeyes wrap up a 10-2 record.
While the Nebraska Cornhuskers didn’t receive a bid to the College Football Playoff, they did play their way into a bowl game for the first time since 2016. Helping achieve that remarkable accomplishment was the playmaking duo of quarterback Dylan Raiola and wideout Isaiah Neyor.
Those two stars will help the Huskers strive for a season-capping victory against Boston College at the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.
As the athletes and squads above prepare to play for more prestigious wins in the postseason, collectors can score coveted cards to add to their growing collection through Panini’s NIL portal.
