Panini Partners with Cypheme for Anti-Counterfeit Stickers

Starting soon, card collectors will notice a change in the appearance of some of Panini’s high-end products and display boxes. There will be a special sticker found on items that add an extra layer of security and confidence.

These stickers will be developed and hosted by French third-party company Cypheme, an AI Anti-Counterfeit technology provider.

This extra layer of security provides additional protection when buying sealed cases and boxes from sources that are not direct from the manufacturer, giving collectors, breakers, shops and distributors additional piece of mind when purchasing aged inventory.

Essentially, this is how you will know that these higher end items with Panini’s branding are indeed manufactured by Panini, no matter where or from whom you purchase them.

One of the best features of this new partnership is the accessibility. Collectors won’t need an app to access the information, just the cameras on their phones and access to the internet. Upon scanning the QR code found on the stickers, collectors will be taken to a unique landing page, verifying the product’s legitimacy or letting them know if it’s been tampered with.

The highly anticipated release of 2023-24 Panini National Treasures NBA will be the first program to feature these game-changing stickers. Look out for that program (dropping January 8th, 2025), and future Panini products with the anti-counterfeit measures in the weeks and months to come.
