Panini Peek: 2010-11 Limited Hockey

October 21, 2010

One of the great benefits of having a blog to call our very own is the ability for us to bring loyal Panini collectors exclusive first looks at upcoming products. Case in point, this never-before-seen stroll through the incomparable 2010-11 Limited Hockey release.

Although the Limited brand boasts a proud super-premium history, it hasn’t graced the hockey arena since 1997-98. The great news for patient hockey collectors: Good things come to those who wait.

2010-11 Limited Hockey — the first high-end product of the hockey season that releases December 15 — is a seamless melding of the NHL’s brightest current stars (including Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, Steven Stamkos, Alexander Overchkin and Sidney Crosby) and its proudest legends (including Patrick Roy, Mario Lemieux and Steve Yzerman).

Each pack of Limited (seven cards, $100) features one autograph numbered to 299 or less, one memorabilia card numbered to 199 or less and an additional autograph or memorabilia card numbered to 299 or less. Rounding out each pack are two base cards, one Legend and one additional card, all numbered to 299 or less.

The product’s stacked autograph lineup is bolstered by first-time signers Steve Carlson, Jeff Carlson and Dave Hanson, to say nothing of the Limited brand’s ballyhooed Phenoms signed Rookie Cards numbered to just 199. There are also 1/1 cut signature cards showcasing the likes of Eddie Shore, Toe Blake, Harry Oliver and Ken Reardon.
