  1. wow, intrigue is very intriguing… superb design! good job panini team.. hopefully you release your own version of letterman…

    1. I beg to differ. There is practically no design on these cards. Just a player photo and a blurry/cloudy background and very plain text. Not bashing Panini who’ve come a LONG way in terms of card design and technology since they started their exclusive deal, I just think your choice of using the word “design” is incorrect in this case

  2. Another release… your poor basketball development team must be working triple shifts! The Intriguing players looks nice, love the golden background with the player popping in the foreground. The double patch card is nice but whats the point of the line crossing the window, does it make it harder for forgers? The Ray Allen and Alonzo Mourning cards are very nice as well. Hopefully they go with that design for the “Red White & Blue’ subset in the finished product. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Loving that Alonzo Mourning Auto!
The photo just captures his Essence as a player.
That intriguing pair is just perfect! Maybe by the time Kobe retires Kyrie might be a Lakers!
    Definitely very intrigued by it!

Hopefully the cans could be collectible as well and would have an auto tins !
    That would be good.

Also when will the great creators of Panini
Include their photos and cards in it.
    As a Bonus!
Pulling a Tracy Hackler auto would be priceless.

  4. I like the way these look. Will this be the last
Nba product for 2012-2013? Will this include the kobe anthology pack also?

  5. I have commented upon this previously & due to the concepts that underpin this product…I feel it bears repeating. The Basketball card market is depressed in NY/NJ/CT & PA. I realize there’s a lot more to the country, but I can only speak on those regions. The auto/mem’ market will always be strong for ‘Zo, Kobe, MJ, Bird, Malone, Stockton, Nash, Magic & Kareem…plus more youthful talents LBJ, Durant, Griffin, Rose & Kyrie. In my opinion, the challenge facing Panini is to create a product that adds value above that which collectors are accustomed to in a product with an MSRP under $200.
My curiousity has been piqued, I’m eager to see more of “Intrigue” as I enjoyed the “Preferred” and “Limited” products very much. Nuff’ Said.

  6. Looks pretty cool guys…Sticking with the ” new ” theme, have you ever thought about letting us name a new set? Could be as a contest with the winner getting to be a part of the process some how. Or not as a contest and just let us pick from a few different names from yours or our choosing. Or both. Anyway this new set looks like a lot of fun.

      1. I checked that out Tracy. That was pretty cool. I was thinking a little simpler. Maybe just naming the product with the winner at your HQ to help do the unvailing along with possibly a seat next to you to open a box or 2 in one of your famous box openings? Hell I would love to be the one to hide the image in your famous contest to win a box. Thats how easy it is for me to be content..lol

  7. Enough already!! How many 12-13 NBA products are you going to release? It’s yet andother opportunity to pull more redemptions and more rookie autographs with little or no hobby interest and/or value from the “historice huge double rookie class”. By the time this one releases in August, it will be time for the 13-14 products to start rolling out. At least we should be back to a normal sized group of rookies…..not so diluted as this season’s crop.

  8. Great looking images. I really enjoy cards being packed into different packing such as tins.

I really like the Intriguing pairs concept above and to see which pairs you guys came up with.

  9. Love the ideas and looks of this product! Already pre ordered a few boxes. My question tho l, when will a product teaser be released? As the release date is less then a month away, just wanted to see a gallery of a couple of boxes opened!
