We’ve already previewed 2012-13 NBA Hoops and 2012-13 Prestige to much fanfare; today, we take a look at the triumphant return of collector-favorite Threads Basketball after a year away.
First and foremost, 2012-13 Threads Basketball will deliver 100 RCs printed on wood stock and autographed on-card, and each box (five cards per pack, 24 packs per box) will yield three autograph cards and one memorabilia card.
Releasing October 3, Threads will be anchored by a 150-card base set and a robust RC program that includes players from both the 2011 and 2012 NBA Draft classes and new inserts such as Century Greats and High Flyers.
Headlining the autograph roster are notable inserts such as the popular die-cut Team Threads Signatures, Rookie Team Threads Signatures and Private Signings. The memorabilia lineup includes Authentic Threads, Prime Authentic Threads, Triple Threads and Prime Triple Threads.
Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2012-13 Threads Basketball. Until then, take a look at this savory sneak peek:
Can’t reiterate how excited I am for a full slate of 12/13 Panini basketball.
We’re pretty excited about it too, Rich. Thanks as always for stopping by.
Sickness on the Durant Patch. And I know this is nit picky and doesn’t even come close to needing to be changed, but I wish the top of the box said 2012-13 instead of 12-13. 🙂 It just looks odd. Thanks for sharing more picks.
Any new basketball checklists to post for past previewed products?
Looks great. Threads is a great football product and look great with in basketball as well!
Outstanding! Really stoked for Threads Hoops, looks like a fun break.
Love seeing the peeks of upcoming products!
Is Ilyasova, Mbah a Moute, Larry Sanders, Tobiad Harris, or Jon Leuer in this?? Paging Mr. Hower! 🙂
Any word on release of the remaining two 11/12 products. Limited has been pushed back several times over the last month yet no official word from Panini. Are you really releasing Gold Standard and Limited back to back (July 4th and 6th)? Please keep us updated…
well, its nice to see that you guys arent using the same pics in all the different sets this year(like you did in panini’s first year of bb cards). Maybe you guys could get some better auto’s for the higher end products? Pullin Sleepy Floyds, Bill Wenningtons(and ive been a bulls fan for 20 years) robert horry’s, etc.. how is anybody supposed to get excited about that??
wow… didnt mean to sound so much like a complaint, lol, but i guess it was…. and to anybody thats gonna flame me, if u like big shot bob so much, ill trade ya for your derrick rose straight up lmao
I won’t argue, kind of sick of getting scrubs that no one wants. Sure during there time they may have been collected. But at this point no one wants them.
I CAN’T WAIT! I love the wood stock idea for some of the cards! Along with the on card autos! Very nice & classy look! Keep it up Panini. –Your fan from Tulsa, OK
THUNDER UP!!!!
Woo a return to the Rookies on Wood Stock. Have the Harangody from the last release, they look and feel great. Gotta love the Kyrie on card!
Would love to land a Kobe auto! Product looks great!
I’m definitely excited to see what Panini has in store for a full season of products. The down time probably lead to a bit of developing and tweaking so I can’t wait to see what you guys have scheduled.
looks great what the price point?
It’s looking nice so far, but I’d love to see more. Gotta love the on-card autos! Hopefully I’ll be able to afford one by then.
–Jon
