Panini Peek: 2013-14 Crusade Basketball
In early April, the collecting crusade that captivated hardcore hoops fans last year, is coming back for a whole new season — and this time, it’s bringing a lower price point, a lower print run and even more Crusade cards with it. Rest assured, Panini America’s 2013-14 Crusade Basketball will pack a few more surprises, too. Due out April 7, each box of 2013-14 Crusade Basketball will deliver 18 Crusade inserts, one autograph card and one memorabilia card, all for a cost-effective $70 SRP.
Company officials are adding three new collectible colors to the Crusade rainbow this year (including Teals numbered to 299, Orange Die-Cuts numbered to 99 and Golds numbered to just 10) and bringing back popular brand staples such as Quest Memorabilia (featuring a prime parallel).
Other highlights of 2013-14 Crusade Basketball include . . .
- High Praise Ink: Featuring autographs from some of the NBA’s biggest stars.
- Apprentice Signatures: Featuring autographs from the top rookies of 2013-14.
- All-new autographs sets including Hardwood Homage and Sultans of Springfield featuring signatures from legends of the game and members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
- 2013-14 Crusade Basketball features a 150-card base set with 50 Rookie Cards and 50 Legends (both of which fall roughly one in three packs); the base insert lineup includes Nobility, Royalty and Knight Court sets that are paralleled by Silver (numbered to 25), Gold (numbered to 10) and Black 1/1 parallels.
