For many passionate hockey collectors, the 2013-14 NHL trading card season simply can’t get here fast enough. In fact, everyone at Panini America is so excited that we’re releasing our first product of the season — 2013-14 Score Hockey — in early July, more than one month earlier than 2012-13 Score Hockey.

Score’s every-collector appeal will return at full strength for 2013-14 with a massive 550-card base set and more than 60 Rookie Cards, headlined by the first RCs and autographs of Nail Yakupov, Alex Galchenyuk, Vladimir TarasenkoJonathan Huberdeau and more. What’s more, 2013-14 Score Hockey will boast a downright girthy hobby configuration that features 10 52-card fat packs in every jumbo box.

That brawnier construction will lead to some unprecedented pulls for the Score brand, most notably one the product’s historic first memorabilia cards (the eight-piece Team 8s) and two autographs in every box. In addition, each 52-card pack will yield two Hot Rookies and four Gold Parallels.

2013-14 Score Hockey will also be graced by the return of popular brand staples such as First Goals, Check It, Net Cams, Future Team Score and Recollection Autographs featuring buyback autograph Rookie Cards of Mike Richter, Ed Belfour and more.

  1. Is it going to be the same price point as years past or will it be raised since you’re guaranteed 2 autos per box? Looks nice!

  2. Wow, what a changeup. The rookies look like they are from Black Friday. Are the Yakupov, Galchenyuk, etc. gonna be SSP Rookies or regular? And what are the odds for autographs? And patches? For regular boxes?

  3. Very nice looking re-vamp to Score here, love the photography on the Kreider Future Team. Got to see him play in the AHL last month here in CT. Thanks Tracy!

  4. Tracy,
I don’t think I have ever been so excited about the release of Score as I am for the 2013-14 product. Can you get me a preview of the Huberdeau rookie card? Will Huberdeau have an auto in the product? Great work, this rookie class is awesome and add to it the prospects from the 2013 draft and this is an all-time great yearnfor hockey products.
    Thanks,
    T

  5. I hope it doesn’t go away from the Score roots too much of cheap price pack for affordability for all. I do like the new additions however.

  6. It is nice to see an essentially ‘hobby’ version of Score. Just please don’t forget one of the reasons Score is a fan favorite: affordability. Keep the retail side at the price point it is at 🙂

I imagine the Jumbo hobby boxes will run…. $55-65.
