NEWARK, N.J. -- There were stars at every turn during Tuesday's Super Bowl XLVIII Media Day inside the Prudential Center. Football stars. Media stars. UFC stars. Modeling stars. And yet, perhaps none shined brighter than 12-year-old Curtis Case, the sixth-grader from Wytheville, Va., who won a dream week in New York as part of the Panini Super Bowl Kid Reporter contest.
NEWARK, N.J. — There were stars at every turn during Tuesday’s Super Bowl XLVIII Media Day inside the Prudential Center.
With Panini America Vice President of Marketing Jason Howarth serving as Case’s lead blocker to get him to the front of seemingly every podium, Case asked the “tough questions” with Panini America Super Bowl XLVIII trading cards in tow. When it was all said and done, it’s likely that no reporter on the floor landed more interviews than Case.
In less than two hours, the dynamic duo of Case and Howarth managed to get quality camera time with 14 different players Tuesday, including Russell Wilson, Golden Tate, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, Max Unger, Wes Welker, Julius Thomas, Eric Decker, Shaun Phillips, Demaryius Thomas and even former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson.
And Case did more than just ask questions Tuesday. He also got to share some of the newest Panini America cards of those players directly with them. The results, as you’ll see in full video recaps coming to The Knight’s Lance in the coming days, are priceless. But before we get to the must-see videos, here’s a gallery that documents all of the day’s action.
Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance all week for continued coverage of Super Bowl XLVIII.

That’s awesome!! I cant wait until my son is old enough to enter into this contest! I just hope he wants to be entered LOL. We have a ways to go though, he is only 9 months old. Good job Curtis, I can’t wait to see the videos!!!
Looks like he made the rounds like a pro, great job Curtis!
Awesome work cannot wait to see the video! Its awesome that you guys do this promotion and give a kid the chance to get out there and rub shoulders with the best for a day!.
Bravo, Panini, bravo!
You helped cast memories thst will stay with Curtis forever.
No less significantly, Curtis will inspire other youngsters to be unafraid of tackling their own life dreams.
Let’s also not lose sight of Panini’s very slick and inclusive campaign to re-ignite interest in the hobby within Curtis’s age group. Plus, I like the literacy piece. It’s just a nice job, well executed.
I am having my card collecting group craft fictitious interviews as a writing exercise. Too much fun.
Props’ and well done!
Great feedback, Jamey. Much appreciated.
What an amazing time! Bet he never forgets this and it’s all because of the best card company out there!
Seen him all up on NFL Network handling his BIZZNESS #PaniniRULES
Shame he only got to talk with one of the two starting QB’s. No Manning?
