  4. Awesome. FYI.. BIG shout out to Panini and Tracy,,, I won one of the NBA Hoops boxes from the all star game contest… Box break got me a Marcus Camby auto private signing card. a Carl Landry auto card. a Jeremy Lin base card. Kudos to Panini…

  5. Don’t think I will be on around that time. But thats an awesome way to engage with everyone! Once again clapping my hands Panini!

  6. This sucks… chat didn’t work and I don’t use Twitter. So no cards for me!!! Really looked forward to this and no chat available during the unwrapping. Prefer the old format since technology failed on this one!!!

  7. Video was terrible. You asked which we preferred, I would say make your live breaks but post them as you used to for reveals and hopefully they stream a lot better then that video did. I highly recommend you talk to the guys that do box breaks all the time to find out how they do it and get some tips (CloutsnChara in Canada does box breaks every night and they are smooth and clear, I’m sure they would help Panini out if asked)

    1. Appreciate the feedback, Chris. We definitely had some road bumps on this one but we will get better. We know the guys at CnC well and will definitely learn from them.

  8. Wow… was a disaster. I just hit the link to watch the video and was disappointed in not just the quaility of the video but much of the content of Preferred. I have a case on order that I should receive tomorrow and am almost sorry about that. If you think about this product, it’s roughly $200 per box (3 autos and 1 booklet) or about $50 per card. It’s a good thing Tracy pulled so many Epke Udoh.. that means there are less for us to pull. With the exception of the Durant and the Laker Legend booklet, I bet most of what’s left from the 4 boxes wouldn’t fetch more than $15 a card…and that’s being generous. Hope there’s a case hit of some sort.

  9. As far as the quality of video, my guess is that it was being done over wireless. Even if it was done over wire, if there are too many people at that place using the internet for other streaming (YouTube) then your bandwidth dies. But even still, wire is better for video. I saw some tweets saying you’ve switched to BlogTV and are going to try something today. Is it going to be another similar break or just a test to make sure everything works? I hope I got my name in early enough for a chance at that Defense Booklet.

    1. After watching several breaks of this product on Youtube. I am sadly disappointed and disgusted. No disrespect to Panini.

  10. I called the LAKERS booklet…..right at the reaction pont too! My buddy watching with me was stunned! But because I dont use TWITTER….nada! Guess I need to spend $1 million annually on product to see some love.

    1. Actually, you were one of the winners, Andrew! We included Twitter folks and Ustream chatters in the random drawing for prizes and you were one of the winners. I have the list at work so I don’t know exactly which card you won but I’ll be back in the office Thursday and will let you know.

  11. Finally purchased my Panini Preferred pack. I did receive a good booklet (Legends #4). However, the Clyde Drexler jersey was the machine wash tag. No actual jersey just Machine wash cold, No chlorine bleach. For a 1/3 card you would think it was an actual jersey. Definitely not worth $200.
