Peeking Panini America’s Autograph Haul from the 2012 NBA Rookie Transition

While Panini America captured much of the compelling photography it will use throughout the 2012-13 NBA season during last Tuesday's 2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot in New York, company officials secured most of the rookie autographed content for upcoming sets a few days earlier at the 2012 NBA Rookie Transition Program in New Jersey.

While Panini America captured much of the compelling photography it will use throughout the 2012-13 NBA season during last Tuesday’s 2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot in New York, company officials secured most of the rookie autographed content for upcoming sets a few days earlier at the 2012 NBA Rookie Transition Program in New Jersey.

And although we shared many behind-the-scenes images from the three-day Rookie Transition last week, we didn’t necessarily focus on the cards in those galleries. Today, we do.

What follows is a small-but-impressive sampling of autographed cards, patches and Sketch Cards acquired at the Rookie Transition, including a closer look at the popular wood Rookie Cards and Home Jersey Die-Cut Autographs coming to 2012-13 Threads Basketball. Just keep in mind that this gallery includes only those cards that have been QC’d, counted and cataloged by the vaunted Panini America Acquisitions team. We’ll have tons more to show in the coming days.

Oh, and as for the Sketch Cards and sweet Rated Rookie patches? Well, you’ll have to wait to find out where those are headed. Stay tuned.

  2. Love the design!! The court autographs are sick..sick drooling stuff! Wow! I like the jersey diecuts as well. I think those would be more exciting with at least the players head added to them. But they still look nice. The court autos though…great stuff!

  3. So pumped about the new Threads cant wait for it to come out! I gotta say u guys never let me down with this product! Ive always got nice stuff and at a great price, keep it up!!!

  4. I like the vertical design of the new Wood RC’s, will look better in a folder as part of the set 😉 The die-cut autos are once again awesome little cards.

  5. Absolutely love the cards. The autos on the player’s jerseys are brilliant. Is there any way that I could win any of these fantastic cards?

  6. So does this mean there will be less sticker autos this year? NBA Hoops was only sticker auto, it would be nice to have more on card autos…
