Playoff-Bound Stars Clash in Panini’s Origins Basketball
Just in time for the start of the NBA postseason, Panini’s Origins Basketball returns to celebrate an exciting 2024 slate with a stunning display of autographs, memorabilia, and parallel action.
In Origins, search for autographs from a rookie class that stepped up and showed out during the regular season.
A shared theme was being able to put the ball in the basket at a premium. A handful of first-year stars notched multiple 30-point-plus nights, including Chet Holmgren, Keyonte George and GG Jackson.
Fellow rooks like Cason Wallace and Brandin Podziemski stood out by simply fitting in. Both were perfect matches for their winning organizations thanks to their play styles and personalities. Signatures from these dazzling talents can be found across the Rookie Jersey Autographs and Rookie Autographs inserts.
Moving to the stars of today, this season’s MVP race has been one for the ages. Previous winners Nikola Jokić and Giannis Antetokounmpo played at a level that was deserving of a repeat trophy. Luka Dončić and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also made persuasive pushes for the honor as they led their teams to the playoffs.
Some living legends that have been the pillars of this era are still fighting for a postseason spot. The Lakers’ superstar duo, Phoenix’s big three and the Warriors’ long-standing core are all jockeying for position out West.
In the East, DeMar DeRozan will lead the Bulls against Trae Young and the Hawks in the play-in tournament. Miami’s Bam Adebayo and Philly’s Tyrese Maxey will be among the stars also battling for those final two seeds.
Some of those stars, along with a handful of retired greats, have ink in Origins’ Elevation Signatures and Universal Autographs. Both of these sets feature one-of-one parallels. You’ll also find penmanship in the popular booklet cards featured in the Six Star Signatures and Rookie Auto Booklet Patch sets.
Whether your favorite team is locked into the playoffs, still fighting for a spot, or already focused on the offseason, you’ll have a blast collecting Panini Origins Basketball. The popular hobby-exclusive Tiger Eyes SSP insert along with the new Cosmic Storm will help ensure that.
Origins’ Base set also provides an exciting experience thanks to a variety of parallels including Red, Blue (numbered to 99), Orange (75), Turquoise (25), Gold (10), Green (5), and the one-of-one Black parallel. Also, look for the new parallels Neon Stripes (numbered to 49) and Tessellated.
