Here’s one way we know for sure that hardcore hockey collectors are waiting on the edge of their seats for the debut of 2011-12 Prime Hockey in just a couple of weeks: The gallery we brought you two weeks ago today showcasing the oversized — and largely overwhelming — memorabilia pieces hand-picked for the set’s Prime Colors insert is one of our most-viewed posts of the last 30 days.

Well, today we present the highly anticipated follow-up gallery detailing even more of the massive 2 inch-by-3 inch memorabilia magic hand-selected by Panini America NHL gurus Chris Barr and Karvin Cheung specifically for the unique Prime Colors insert.

Today’s splendid sneak peek includes game-worn memorabilia from such NHL legends as Stan Mikita, Bobby Clarke, Mark Messier and Curtis Joseph; and current superstars such as Tim Thomas, Sidney Crosby and more. 1. HOLY CRAP!! Those are gonna be some AWESOME patches!! I dont collect hockey, but i would still like to own 1 of each of those cards!! On a side note, I think these pics should also be put on the backs of the cards like you guys used to do. This would help detour people faking the patches.

  2. This product looks incredible~!! wowzers!! I love seeing the pieces like this before they are put into cards. Thanks for the behind the scenes.

  3. The Indian patch, the Blackhawks I think the third piece from the right is gonna be a sick card! 25 breaks 10 colors!
