Panini America 2013 Prizm Football Production

Panini America officials today confirmed a production issue within 2013 Prizm Football that impacted the appearance — but not the rarity — of three veteran autograph inserts within the product. As a result, the company unintentionally produced three unique new Prizm parallels for 78 signers in the set.

For the impacted cards (card #’s 101-178 on the checklist), each player’s base autograph (not numbered) and Prizm parallel autograph (numbered to 25 or less) feature a black border. Each player’s Finite Prizm 1/1 autograph includes the traditional Finite “mosaic” pattern but with no black border. Check images after the jump for examples.

    1. looks like the wording was updated to clarify “each player’s base autograph (not numbered) and Prizm parallel autograph (numbered to 25 or less) feature a black border”

  1. Curious, why would you not reprint these correctly instead of releasing these like they are? The Finite in my opinion don’t look nearly as good without the Black border. I expected better from Panini!

  2. How do you tell the difference difference between the base and the Prizm /25? Is the numbering on the Prizm card the only way? Definitely a lot of people on eBay advertising black borders as /25 even without numbering on the card.
