For the impacted cards (card #’s 101-178 on the checklist), each player’s base autograph (not numbered) and Prizm parallel autograph (numbered to 25 or less) feature a black border. Each player’s Finite Prizm 1/1 autograph includes the traditional Finite “mosaic” pattern but with no black border. Check images after the jump for examples.
I don’t think the black ones were numbered either.
looks like the wording was updated to clarify “each player’s base autograph (not numbered) and Prizm parallel autograph (numbered to 25 or less) feature a black border”
There certainly does seem to be some confusion/misinformation about these on the secondary market, thanks for clearing it up Tracy!
Wait, still confused. So the black boarder cards are supposed to be numbered to what?
Of the 78 veteran signers impacted, the base black-border autographs are unnumbered. The Prizm black-border autographs of those 78 players are numbered to 25 or less.
chris at the hobby box pulled one of these and was totally confused, this clears it up…wonder what ‘premium’ these will go for on the secondary?
Curious, why would you not reprint these correctly instead of releasing these like they are? The Finite in my opinion don’t look nearly as good without the Black border. I expected better from Panini!
How do you tell the difference difference between the base and the Prizm /25? Is the numbering on the Prizm card the only way? Definitely a lot of people on eBay advertising black borders as /25 even without numbering on the card.
The base are not numbered and don’t have the rainbow Prizm technology. The Prizm parallels are numbered to 25.
Pretty cool mishap.
