That thread-bearing twist comes in the form of striking manufactured team logo and alternate logo patches that provide each Rookie Card with a radically new feel. Clearly, these are not your father’s Rookie Tickets.
Monday’s preliminary quality-control check — conducted on location at the printing facility — yielded a refreshing and varied array of compelling designs, interesting die-cuts, tons of autographs and the award-worthy presence of wickedly-hip, rarely-if-ever-seen-on-trading-cards secondary NBA team logos.
The following gallery should sufficiently whet your appetite until the product arrives in hobby shops next week. After you’ve taken in all the eye candy, be sure to watch the short video of our hoops heroes busting a few QC boxes straight from the production line.
Now, for the must-see video . . .
Looks awesome, Tracy. Do you know if Manny Harris (undrafted but now with the Cavs) will be included in this set? Thanks.
I have just been informed that Manny Harris IS NOT in the set. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Gotcha, thanks for getting back to me. Any plans to include him in future releases?
Hi guys,
Love the rookie ticket auto patches, are you able to share if Landry Fields included in this set?
Regards
Matt
Yes, sir. Fields is in!
Hey Tracy –
Could you ask the Panini America basketball team if there will be different versions of the Rookie Ticket Auto Patches? Maybe it would be best if you asked them off-camera.
Yes, there will be. Did you not watch our Academy Award-worthy video?
Any chance of putting up the regular vs alternative logos for us set builders?
The regular and alternate for each player? I can certainly try to build that gallery for you.
You the man!
Hoping to see less of the manufactured patches next year. I was hoping this product would remain like the football product as it was a highly collectible product with the on card autos last year.
Is there any chance Omer Asik is in the set?
Omer Asik IS in the set: Card #’s 150 and 200.
2 questions:
1. How much per pack
2. How much per box
LOL
That would be $6 and roughly $144.
Those RC patch autos are sweet looking.
Hey Tracy, thanks once again for the preview. Are Larry Sanders and Darington Hobson RC’s in here?? Also anything of Ersan Ilyasova and Luc Mbah a Moute, perhaps in the base set?
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Larry Sanders is in the base set with two cards (#115 and #165) and he’s also in the Starting Blocks insert. None of the other guys made this set.
Thanks as always 🙂
how many different kobe auto’s will be availible in this product?
Unbelievible cards can’t wait to break open a box . Just started to collect cards again and my oldest daughter is starting as well . Are they going to do redempition cards in playoff contenders 2010-11 ?
Make sure you hold onto the rookies until they release the shortprint list
