Collectors keeping a close eye on Panini America's 2014 Donruss Baseball Rated Rookie Trade-In promotion have no doubt discovered that the cards have finally started arriving into the hands of waiting collectors. And collectors likely have also noticed a previously unannounced surprise hiding in some of those three-card silver packs: An extremely rare Japanese version of Masahiro Tanaka's card that sent the Twitterverse buzzing when the first one surfaced last Friday.
Collectors keeping a close eye on Panini America’s 2014 Donruss Baseball Rated Rookie Trade-In promotion have no doubt discovered that the cards have finally started arriving into the hands of waiting collectors. And collectors likely have also noticed a previously unannounced surprise hiding in some of those three-card silver packs: An extremely rare Japanese version of Masahiro Tanaka’s card that sent the Twitterverse buzzing when the first one surfaced last Friday.
In the few days since, just three copies of Tanaka’s Japanese-version card have surfaced, including one that featured a staggering Buy It Now price of $799.95. Currently, there are three versions of the card live on eBay ranging in list price from $349.65 or Best Offer to $299.99 or Best Offer.
The rare Tanaka variation has thrust the 2014 Donruss Baseball Rated Rookie Trade-In promotion back into the collecting spotlight. Collectors interested in participating in the promotion will receive one three-card Rated Rookie Extra Trade-In pack — while supplies last, and they are limited — for every 24 hobby wrappers they send to:

Cool. Good to have some variety in the packs, even if it is rare.
Tracy,
I sent in 48 wrappers but only got 1 pack back. Who should I contact about this?
Thanx
Ron
Checking with our CSM now.
I like the thrown in surprises!
Nice added chase to the program, those are some very large returns for a few wrappers. Thanks Tracy!
Wonder if we’ll ever get the odds on one of those…
I did two batches of 24 wrappers and received both rated rookie extra packs in the same envelope when they got to my house. Unfortunately, both of them are just the standard version of the card. That’s okay though, I will sell one and keep one.
Any idea on overall print run of these??
Are you still redeeming these?
