It's been six days since 2013-14 Prizm Hockey hit hobby shops -- and the tireless pursuit of that product's hobby-only Holofoil, Orange Die-Cut, Gold and Finite Black Prizm parallels has kept the social media universe, hobby shops, online auction sites and message boards buzzing with big finds. In just the last few days, that phenomenon began playing out in retail outlets across North America as retail versions of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey have started hitting store shelves.

This year, in addition to the familiar retail-wide Green Prizms, Panini America has partnered with Target and Walmart to deliver additional chase Prizms to each of those stores’ Prizm versions. The result is a resplendent rainbow of new collecting possibilities.
Walmart retail blasters of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey include three-card bonus packs of Blue Prizms; Walmart rack packs of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey include three-card bonus packs of Pulsar Blue Prizms. Collectors can also find Green and Blue Prizms randomly inserted into those packaging configurations.
Target retail blasters of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey include three-card bonus packs of Red Prizms; Target rack packs of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey include three-card bonus packs of Pulsar Red Prizms. Collectors can also find Green and Red Prizms randomly inserted into those packaging configurations.
We’ve provided a must-see retail rainbow of sorts in the gallery below. Enjoy and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage.
Can’t wait to get my hands on the Pulsar and red and blue variants. Looks awesome.
Kinda cool throwing out something for people to get their hands on that do not have hobby shops around. This type of thing isn’t new, but I would like to see it grow, so people like myself who buy at Target or Walmart might have a better chance at actually pulling something cool. I also agree that I want hobby shops to survive as well with exclusiveness in cards.
But maybe make the odds a little better for us without those shops to get some joy.
Thanks
Wow..just wow!!
Nice variations, the Pulsar parallels really make the cards pop. Thanks Tracy!
Excellent! Will have to check my Target and Walmart on the way home tomorrow!!
COLORS!!!!!! Glorious Colors!
will we be seeing this trend continuing on into Prizm Basketball? I hope so :]
Me too!
That’s great, they look good. But, why can’t Panini bring more variety to the Hobby boxes? Why should we have to go to Walmart and Target and buy blaster boxes? I know there are parallels in the hobby boxes that aren’t in the retail boxes but it would be nice to be able to collect all the parallels without running all over town, if your town has Walmarts and Targets. thanks for listening.
Walmart’s and Target’s near me don’t have any Prizm at all
Yup I got no Prizm retail either
Still nothing as of Friday night at Targets here in Arizona (Wal-Mart doesn’t do hockey here). I am dying to get my hands on some! At least I was able to buy a couple of blasters on eBay tonight…
What are the odds of finding the refractors?
I still have none 🙁
