Cincinnati Bengals rookie running back Rex Burkhead dropped by Panini America headquarters yesterday to sign some autographs, to open some 2013 Elite Football and, as a nice byproduct, to make Scott Prusha's year. Prusha happens to be an unabashed fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers; Burkhead, of course, is one of the greatest running backs in Huskers history.

So after the Bengals’ sixth-round pick finished signing his allotment of Panini America autographs for upcoming NFL products, he sat down with Prusha for an impromptu episode of Panini Unwrapped during which he talked football, his new teammates, the Huskers, collecting and so much more.
Enjoy the video — which Prusha still hasn’t stopped talking about — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for a follow-up episode that goes deeper into the nuts and bolts of a truly spectacular 2013 Elite Football product.
Huge fan of Rex and can’t wait to get our first auto of his. He is a great guy and a good representative of Husker Nation! #GBR

What a great interview! Perfect that you guys got him in a Rated Rookie shirt!
Go Big Red!
wow a Cincinnati fan could get spoiled with this. First a Phillips feature and now Rex.Outstanding! I as a lifetime Bengals fan was so pleased to hear that they drafted Rex. Not only for as what i believe is one of the best sleeper picks of the draft, but because he is a true stand up guy with great character. Easy to see why he’s a Nebraska legend among their faithful. Before I comment on Elite I have to say Prestige has been amazing this year and i am truly impressed with the product.I say that now as i know it is always a precursor to Elite. I am so pump for this release.Everything from the design to the new twist in this set look AMAZING! The passing the torch autos are one of my most favorite chase cards.I would love to see a 1/1 printing plate version of these. I cant wait till Friday to get my hands on some. Wish I could rip a case! Thanks to Panini for a great two part feature and a great product!
Wonder if we could get Scott and Rex to give a big WHO DEY at the end of the last feature lol
I am so jealous Scott!! I am a big Husker fan as well, great interview with Rex.
Another fun video Scott. Once again..you guys have a great job 🙂
So far so good with this stuff, I like the tweaks to the Hard Hats auto set design. Thanks Scott and Tracy!
Will you guys have the Rated Rookie shirts at the National?
If so, will they fit fat guys?
I don’t think we’re bringing any for sale, but you can always get yours here:

Why do they have to tease me and speak of a Burkhead/Rathman PTT dual auto? As a Huskers fan I would love that card. Elite looks nice once again, I am back to Colorado this weekend so will be buying my share of some. GO BRONCOS!!!!!
Always love Elite especially all the serial #’d cards. My only wish is that all Panini products had serial #’d rookies like Elite.
Congrats to Scott for living one of his dreams! Rex is also doing some great work with Jack.
