Panini America’s iconic “Rated Rookie” term will take on added significance later this summer when special autograph cards from 37 of this season’s highest-rated rookies find their way into packs of Panini America’s 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention promo set. And the unique 2017 NFLPA Rookie Premiere Next Day Autographs insert is nothing less than a minor manufacturing miracle.

Over the course of a few days during last week’s 2017 NFLPA Rookie Premiere, Panini America officials captured the photography, created the designs, printed the cards and had them delivered to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum by Saturday morning for the players to sign. The result, as you’ll see below, is a unique addition to the company’s popular National wrapper-redemption promotion.

While most of the Panini America photography captured during the 2017 NFLPA Rookie Premiere focused on the action side of things, the imagery selected for the Next Day Autographs insert provides an opportunity to get up close and personal with the NFL’s future superstars. The on-card autographs, of course, help bring their personalities out just a little bit more.

In the gallery that follows, we showcase all 37 cards in a set that promises to be quite scarce when the 2017 National promo set arrives — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of the 2017 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.
