San Francisco 49ers LB Chris Borland Earns Week 11 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Nod

2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Week 11 Borland Winner

Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Linebacker Chris Borland of the San Francisco 49ers is the Week 11 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week, the NFL announced today. Borland recorded 12 tackles, two interceptions and three passes defensed in the 49ers’ 16-10 win over the New York Giants.

Borland was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com. The other Week 11 finalists included Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, St. Louis Rams running back Tre Mason, Houston Texans running back Alfred Blue and Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. In conjunction with the 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week promotion, Panini America produces virtual trading cards of each week’s five nominees and a virtual card for each week’s winner.
