Score Keepers: A Comprehensive Gallery of Every RC Variation in 2011 Score Football

Panini America NFL Brand Manager Carlos Torrez hand-delivered two heaping handfuls of 2011 Score Football cards to me this morning. What at first glance appeared to be dupes of several of the top rookies from the 2011 Draft Class turned out to be something much, much more.

In all, there were 86 different cards — 36 base Rookie Cards from those players who attended the 2011 NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere, 36 secondary photo variations of those players and still 14 additional cards showcasing a third photo variation of some players.

For Score set-builders out there who’ve been burning up the secondary market, you can take comfort in the fact that your eyes have not been deceiving you. Indeed, there are 14 players in the 2011 Score Football set that have three RC variations.

Profiled here on The Knight’s Lance for the first time are all 86 cards — each player’s base RC and their respective variations. Consider it a visual road map that will help get you to your desired destination: A complete set.

    1. There are still set collectors out there that want a big-time hunt. Score is awesome for that very reason. Extremely affordable and enough chase cards to make set completion feel like a real effort.

  1. I’ve noticed a lack of Patrick Peterson Auto’s, SP RC cards, Etc…. Did he sign an exclusive with another company or is it because he was not at the RC Premier when you guys did the Shoot?

  2. I have two of the 2011 Score Cam Newton “Hot Rookie” cards that are non-glossy. One is the regular Hot Rookie and the other a Scorecard Hot Rookie. I was trying to find some of the Scorecard versions on Ebay, Amazon, forums, card shops, etc. Only thing I find is the regular Hot Rookie. Plenty of finds on other Hot Rookie cards both regular and Scorecard. Anyone know how many were made?

    1. Not sure. Least year they serial #ed the inserts/SP’s. I don’t understand why they didn’t do the same this year?? I believe they might give the info on the back of the wrappers. I don’t have any around to check for sure, though.

    2. I just bought a Colin Kaepernick rookie card from a card shop. It was the first one I saw. It is a variation that I can’t find on Ebay. Every card has the field in the background with hash marks showing. This one is the one of him standing and you can’t see the field (see above photos). My question is, are these worth more? It seems to me there aren’t as many out there since all I see on Ebay are the other ones.

  3. There are 15 not 13 3 card variation Shane veeren has a 3rd ball in center both hand on ball not just the ball in left and or right hand
