St. Patty’s Day Pop: Panini America’s Dallas Mavericks Promo Set Tips Off Tonight

Hoops fans attending tonight’s Western Conference showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and hometown Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center are in for more than just a huge rivalry game amid a festive St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere. They’re also in for the makings of a pretty cool Panini America card set.

Beginning with tonight’s games, Mavericks officials will distribute to all fans entering the arena the first two cards (Vince Carter and Elton Brand) of a special eight-card promotional set. The final six cards in the set will be distributed (two cards at a time) in the coming weeks.

The special set utilizes Panini America’s 2012-13 Threads Basketball design and includes both longtime Mavericks must-haves (like Dirk Nowitzki, Shawn Marion and Carter) and 2013 newcomers (like O.J. Mayo, Darren Collison and Brand).
