Panini, the world’s largest publisher of collectibles, and FIFA, the world governing body of soccer and organizer of the FIFA Women World Cup™, are proud to announce that their business partnership is extended to fully embrace this event. The FIFA Women’s  World Cup Canada 2015™ will be the seventh edition of the quadrennial tournament and the second time Panini has launched a sticker album to celebrate the event. The tournament, which will be held from June 6 to July 5, will host matches in six cities and marks the first time for Canada to host the event.

Panini has been creating FIFA World Cup™ sticker albums since 1970 and has been granted by FIFA exclusive rights to produce and sell the official sticker album, collectible trading cards and trading card games for the last 12 tournaments. The very first FIFA Women’s World Cup™ collection was launched to much acclaim throughout Germany in 2011.

Peter Warsop, Panini’s Group Licensing Director, declared: “We take enormous pride in joining this year’s program to celebrate and help create additional awareness and excitement for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. We have already had many fans of the game reaching out to us from all over the world with anticipation of a sticker album being launched and we are delighted to be providing this to them. The German-hosted event in 2011 was very successful in all respects, which has prompted us to extend our marketing and distribution of this year’s collection from just the host nation to around 25 countries.

“Given the increase in teams to 24, the sticker album has also increased to ensure we cover all participating teams and their potential player squads. For fans of the game who cannot find supplies within their own territories, we will make stocks available for purchase online.”

FIFA Marketing Director, Thierry Weil said: “We are delighted to be working with Panini ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 and know that fans of soccer around the world will be eager to get their copy of this years’ album. The release of each Panini Sticker Album incites excitement in supporters that comes in the build-up to a major tournament, and with only 32 days to go I am sure that focus is now firmly turned towards Canada.”

The collectors Album will have 56 internal pages and contain spaces for 478 stickers — including 29 special stickers. In North America, Albums will carry a $2 SRP while seven-sticker packets will carry a $1 SRP. The collection will be available at select retailers and online at iCollectPanini.com in North America in late May. Fans and collectors can also pre-order their collections now by visiting iCollectPanini.com.

  1. Great Info Tracey, I will be getting a copy of this since I missed out on 2011. The 2011 album was difficult to find now I can go to my local Walgreens or order online.

    Thanks

  2. The icollectpanini site mentioned above has ‘sold out’ under 3 of the 4 products listed on the page. The only product not sold out is the sticker book. What good is a sticker book if you can’t buy sticker packs? Is there a list of these ‘select retailers’ in the USA and Canada?
