Ask most longtime Playoff Contenders Football collectors and they’ll tell you that one of the surprise hits of the 2010 edition was the history-laden Super Bowl Tickets insert that created a secondary-market frenzy and a new must-have set-building target.

The good news for many of those same collectors is that Panini America is bringing the popular insert back for a repeat run in 2011, complete with an updated design, a new checklist and several new autograph subjects. We preview 20 of the new cards in the gallery below.

Enjoy this exclusive sneak peek at 20 of the 25 cards in the set and don’t worry about the early process typos on some of the cards. Those will be corrected by the time packout rolls around. Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional updates on all that 2011 Playoff Contenders Football has to offer.

  3. Wow! Really want that Ahmad Bradshaw from the best Super Bowl game ever played. Sweet looking set. love the look. They would look great in a binder or put into a card plaque to be hung on the wall as a set.

  4. Nice job Panini! I loved last years Super Bowl insert and this years looks even better. I can only hope i will be able to pull one of them especially that Aaron Rodgers one with the auto!!

  5. Topps created a SuperBowl ticket, both Auto’d and unauto’d, for Topps Football. The insert was so well-received, Topps threw an entire “Ticket” based product at collectors to see if it stuck. It didn’t. I like the look of these cards much more, and autographed versions from games of yore? Sweet. Totally sweet. Would love to see a sub-series encompassing players on both ends of seminal SuperBowl plays, Montana & Clark, Bradshaw & Harris, Eli & Tyree, jeez I could go on. Cool insert, nutha’ strong selling point for Contenders!
