Tackling Flawless: Panini America Peeks the Jumbo Juiciness of 2014 Flawless Football

This is how I felt every December 24 as a kid growing up. Stomach in knots and battling butterflies at the same time. Nervous. Anxious. Excited. Indeed, waiting for one of your favorite products to arrive -- in this case, Panini America's 2014 Playbook Football -- is like the night before Christmas. (As a guy whose job it is to promote all of Panini America's products equally, I'm probably not supposed to have a favorite, but I do -- and I'm pretty sure Playbook is it.)

This is how I felt every December 24 as a kid growing up. Stomach in knots and battling butterflies at the same time. Nervous. Anxious. Excited. Indeed, waiting for one of your favorite products to arrive — in this case, Panini America’s 2014 Playbook Football — is like the night before Christmas. (As a guy whose job it is to promote all of Panini America’s products equally, I’m probably not supposed to have a favorite, but I do — and I’m pretty sure Playbook is it.)

Here’s the rub, though: The reconfigured 2014 Playbook Football doesn’t arrive in hobby shops until Friday, which means we won’t get our few-box marketing allotment until tomorrow at the earliest, and maybe not until Thursday. And that leaves me waiting quite impatiently. So here’s how I propose we pass the time: With a must-see first look at just some of the splendid jumbo memorabilia cards coming to 2014 Flawless Football, the highly anticipated high-end beast that releases exactly one week after Playbook.

I ventured over to the Panini America production facility across town yesterday afternoon to catch the final stages of packout and ended up taking more than 300 images — all of which featured some simply spectacular football card specimens. Over the course of the next two weeks leading up to the release of Flawless, we’ll share every last one of those images with you, beginning with the jumbo memorabilia cards on display below.

Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2014 Flawless Football — and for a Teaser Gallery and Panini Unwrapped episode starring 2014 Playbook Football when it finally arrives.

  1. Can’t wait! Tracy, has Panini posted a checklist somewhere online yet? If not, do you know when it may be posted?

I am a huge Andrew Luck fan and have it seen any autos or diamond cards of his in any of the previews. Can we assume that he IS in this product? We would assume so since he is a exclusive to Panini but wanted to confirm.

    Thanks!
