We’re now just hours away from one of the biggest release days of the entire year. This time tomorrow, a trio of new products from Panini America — 2015-16 Noir Basketball, 2016 Clear Vision Football and 2016 Donruss Optic Baseball — will arrive to keep the hobby world buzzing well into the foreseeable future.
To help properly prepare collectors for what to expect from these respective products, we’ve spent time over the last week or so delivering a series of Quality Control Galleries detailing the myriad possibilities. Today, we turn our previewing attention to the Teaser Gallery phase, which will take you inside boxes of all three products, beginning with this post devoted to 2015-16 Noir Basketball.
In the must-see preview that follows, we take you pack by pack and card by card through three early boxes of 2015-16 Noir Basketball, a high-end product delivering an impressive selection of on-card autographs and prime memorabilia. Enjoy the imagery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.
What does Panini do with these cards after opening the boxes early?
We usually give them out as contest prizes through our various social media channels or release to CS so they can use them.
I especially like the Kemba Walker card #41/49, for its three segregated images; patch, player image and action photo of player. Been collecting since 1980 and haven’t seen any manufacturer create such a card with three distinct images. I would like to see an entire set created using this technology, VERY COOL!
Noir looks loaded, especially with all the on card autograph content. Way to give the collectors what they want, thanks Tracy!
Very nice. Looks expensive. The first basketball set I’ve seen in awhile that makes me want to go find a card to bid on.
