Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks Four Early Boxes of 2014 Absolute Football

Some folks would consider this morning's predicament at Panini America HQ something of a belated Christmas present. I absolutely would be one of those folks. I mean, returning to the office after the holiday break to a marketing storage office featuring freshly delivered boxes of 2014 Absolute Football, 2014-15 Court Kings Basketball and 2014 National Treasures Baseball . . . well, it just doesn't get much better than that.

Some folks would consider this morning’s predicament at Panini America HQ something of a belated Christmas present. I absolutely would be one of those folks. I mean, returning to the office after the holiday break to a marketing storage office featuring freshly delivered boxes of 2014 Absolute Football, 2014-15 Court Kings Basketball and 2014 National Treasures Baseball . . . well, it just doesn’t get much better than that.

And to think, I get to spend the rest of the year previewing these products to the loyal collecting masses — and then giving some of the boxes away. We’ll get to the giveaway part of these products in the coming days. But today (and perhaps tomorrow, too), we’re all about previewing finished boxes of these beauties pack by pack and card by card.

We’ll begin with 2014 Absolute Football, a 20th anniversary celebration of the venerable Absolute brand that releases in hobby shops across North America today. Each 10-card box of 2014 Absolute Football will deliver at least five autograph or memorabilia cards — but some boxes will deliver six.

For the Teaser Gallery that follows, we ripped four randomly selected boxes to bring you the card-by-card thrill ride that ensued. Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

  1. Hey, Panini peeps! I’m LOVING the look of Absolute Football this year. The relics are presented in a really innovative way, and have already pulled me in with the high-hit percentage. I suppose the clear plastic wrapper for the cards is a way to preview the potential, but I’m sure my hands would still tremble with any sight of a low-numbered card or even a “One of One”…
Here’s to a phenomenal 2015 of collecting! Thanks!

  2. This is one great way to celebrate this product and the FINALLY return of Helmet cards!!! I am loving what I see! Hope to get my hands on a box. I can tell a good review would be on its way!
