Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks Two Tins of 2012-13 Immaculate Basketball

Simply, I can't think of a better way to return to the office following an eventful and productive four days at the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo than to be greeted by the first live boxes of 2012-13 Immaculate Basketball. After months of appetite-whetting wonderment, release week finally has arrived -- a pivotal moment that became abundantly clear as soon as I walked into the marketing office this morning.

Simply, I can’t think of a better way to return to the office following an eventful and productive four days at the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo than to be greeted by the first live boxes of 2012-13 Immaculate Basketball. After months of appetite-whetting wonderment, release week finally has arrived — a pivotal moment that became abundantly clear as soon as I walked into the marketing office this morning.

So I grabbed two tins of the highly anticipated product before I even docked my laptop and logged in. I opened them almost as quickly and captured images of every card I discovered to bring you the following Teaser Gallery.

Enjoy this two-tin sneak peek — which includes an absolutely ridiculous Scottie Pippen memorabilia card among myriad other highlights — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for a revealing Panini Unwrapped episode starring 2012-13 Immaculate Basketball and Product Director Karvin Cheung.

  1. I don’t really follow basketball and only collect it a little bit but man you guys nail the products. Makes me want to add more to my collecting habit.

  2. oh man, checklist please… If I can only get into breaks for this price point, a checklist would be sweet… Basketball is definitely Panini’s slam dunk product line this year, followed in my opinion by hockey, then football. Wish you could steal away the MLB license… Can we petition to make that happen?

  3. Great design, but wish the Pippen patch were in a Bulls uniform. Also, still upset that one of my Panini Flawless “hits” was damaged before being sealed and encased by Panini (Panini won’t replace even though it was factory damaged).

  4. Come on guys!!?? This product will sell in the neighborhood of $600 per 6-card “tin” or more. It looks like Immaculate is back into the “huge historic double rookie class” with the likes of O’Quinn, Singleton & Leuer making up the 3 autos from box 2. I thought these last 2 HIGH-END products of the 12-13 season were going to forsake the low-end rooks. Flawless did but it appears Immaculate has them in full force. Talk about a brutal box… try #2. Even with the Pippen patch, I’d be upset with those 3 autos from the same tin.

  5. mmmh,checklist?
I really can not understand why Panini can not post a checklist on time before the product releases.sometimes you do but most of the time we collectors have to ask all over again.

i dont want to sound rude but IMO this is the least thing Panini should do for collectors.
i do not want to buy a product if i dont know if any of my players are in there.

    thank you

  6. Just looked at the checklist, what the heck is “Chinese Red”?! What idiot decided to put that as a colour? As usual, the Panini Police won’t have the courage to post this on their blog but what about having the guts to email me a response.

  7. I wish Panini would put out a football product like this that actually has more than 1 Vet auto per case. That would be great!
