After almost 10 years away from the market, Panini America’s popular Classics Baseball brand will return to the diamond tomorrow with a history-heavy 2014 Classics Baseball release that stays true to the original Classics legacy by paying tribute to the game’s greatest players from yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We’ve done our best here on The Knight’s Lance in the last few weeks to reintroduce a little bit of everything that 2014 Classics Baseball has to offer. Today, we’re bringing you the first look at the contents of one early, 24-pack box.

True to its roots, Classics Baseball returns in its familiar two-mini-box master box, with each 12-pack mini delivering one autograph and one memorabilia card.   1. In a previous Teaser Gallery comment, Hudsonfan15 mentioned that he eyeballs a particular card when assessing a gallery. I, on the other hand, look to see how the cards and various inserts work together; Do they have a similar theme, is there some other commonality, perceived value, and so on.
    Classics Baseball had a few very strong years back in the day…& it’s revival looks pretty strong, I’m pleased to observe! The sample box yielded a blue-chipper in Gray, a grinder auto patch in Owings, a triple mem’ card from days of Baseball yore that includes one of the singlemost feared hitters of all time in Hornsby, and the piece de resistance? A dual mem’ card …with pinstripe, from the just retired first ballot HOF’er, Derek Jeter.
    What’s not to like???
    That’s one fabulous box, Hackler. This looks like an “instant Classics!”
