It's something of a national collecting holiday every year when Panini America's National Treasures Football releases -- and that's certainly the case today. But there's another new product likely getting its fair share of acclaim across the hobby today: Panini America's 2016-17 Aficionado Basketball. The all-new release provides a unique busting experience brimming with unique, horizontally oriented base cards and lots of shimmering chase opportunities.

We provided a deep dive into the product earlier this week with a revealing Quality Control Gallery. Today, we’re taking you pack by pack through two boxes of the product. As you’ll see, 2016-17 Aficionado Basketball boasts a gorgeous array of inserts and parallels, including the ultra-rare Tip Off and Opening Night blue versions. On average, each box will deliver one autograph, one memorabilia card and as many inserts and parallels as base cards.
Enjoy the imagery that follows and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.
I like this. its a bit like Pinnacle “lite” and could work great as an insert for a new Pinnacle set. LOTS of Pinnacle brands are out and if you mix and tweek a new Pinnacle will look absolutly increable. Select used to be the test product with new ideas so you finaly got that almost right so now we just add Epix, Certified and Impeccable designs to the list and 2018 is going to be interesting.
Digging the overall appeal of this product. Very sharp
You guys did an amazing job with this set, brings me right back to opening my first pack of Aficionado 20 years ago.
